G50-3×1 3LED White Bulb

G50-3x1 3 LED bulb (aka Cool White 3W HEHO LED bulb)

I'd bought this bulb as I feel that the less components in a bulb, the less possibility there is that it will fail. Using only three high power LEDs, this bulb puts out an anemic blue-white glow that appears to flicker, and will be used in our dungeon, eventually.

The Review:
The G50-3x1 3 LED bulb is similar in it's packaging and initial appearance to the G50-21SMD. Small, fits in most places other incandescent bulbs to with no problems.

The Technology:
Using three 1 watt LED's, their placement inside the white globe leaves no shadows and makes no bright spots. The base doubles as it's heat sink, and it doesn't get too hot to handle.

The Output:
Similar to a television on an analog station, the blue-white glow is annoying to my eyes, and while it's output covers a similar area to it's warm white cousin, it does not cast anything in a light that would be suitable for most homes.

The cost savings are similar to the G50-21SMD, and may find itself over a plant that needs some extra light.
